learning box, language course czech
The blue learning box entitled “Wir lernen Tschechisch” included various aids to learn the Czech language. It contained three Litera records, a red sponge and a pocket language book.
Since the GDR bordered with Czechoslovakia, Czech was a popular foreign language along with Russian, Polish and English. The 19.2 x 19.2 x 2.3 cm learning box was part of the series “Sprachen für Jedermann”, offering many other language courses. The learning box was published in 1967 by VEB Verlag Enzyklopädie Leipzig. The records are marked “LITERA”, a GDR record label. It was founded in 1963 and belonged to VEB Deutsche Schallplatten, mainly producing language recordings.
