Egg box for 2 eggs with spoons
The yellow and red box (5.8 x 17.0 x 7.0 cm) is made of plastic and designed to transport two eggs without breaking them. The box also contains two red spoons with which to eat the eggs, as well as a miniature salt cellar. The accessories are cleverly integrated into the egg box to ensure it is still small and compact, even fitting into a handbag. The practical egg box was popular at campsites and on hikes. The functional and luxurious egg box was sold under the then famous brand Sonja Plastic. It included the even more famous “Hühnchen” egg cups. The company selling the brand Sonja Plastic was originally founded in 1925 by Willibald Böhm and later transformed into VEB Plaste und Chemie Wolkenstein in 1972. After German reunification, the company was reprivatised and continues to sell the brand name Sonja Plastic to this day.
