Sunscreen

The presented products formed part of the most common sun-protection products in the GDR. They are filled in blue and orange ringed, aluminium spray cans with a yellow plastic lid. The cans are 14 cm high and each contains 120 ml of cream. The presented logo with the white sails of a ship indicate that the product was part of the “VIOLETTA” brand produced by VEB aerosol-automat Karl-Marx-Stadt. The same manufacturer also produced a sun-protection foam that was packed in an orange spray can with a white lid and the vertical printed logo “heliopan”. On the 14 cm can, a logo with a white sun on a blue background is also visible. The “anti-solan” sun cream is filled in a 10.8 cm high plastic packaging and has a red label with white lettering, as well a logo depicting the setting sun in the form of a circle. The “anti-solan” product was manufactured by VEB DHW Rodleben Betrieb Herbacin.
